Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified Educational Interpreter/Transliterator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing interpretation and translation services to students who are deaf or hard of hearing. The role will involve working closely with teachers, students, and other support staff to ensure that students have equal access to education.

Responsibilities:

• Provide interpretation and translation services to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Work closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure that students have equal access to education
• Develop and maintain relationships with students, teachers, and other stakeholders
• Provide support and guidance to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure that students have access to all educational resources
• Maintain accurate records and reports
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Linguistics, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in interpretation and translation services
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in sign language and/or braille
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
