A leading SHEQ Management Systems Consulting firm, Technon Consulting International (TCI), which is in the fields of Calibration of measuring instruments, service and repair, Occupational hygiene and Environmental monitoring and SHEQ evaluation and training, is inviting applications from suitably qualified persons to fill in the position of Graduate Trainee-Instrumentation and Control Systems who have the following minimum qualifications or attributes, or equivalent;
Successful candidates will pursue a Company structured programme and participate in the following areas;
Responsibilities
- Calibration, service and repair of measuring instruments using company, national and International standards. The scope of calibration service is Mass, Pressure, Temperature, Volume, Length, Electrical, Hygiene and Environmental Monitoring equipment.
- Consultation, auditing and training in SHEQ Management systems, Environmental and Occupational Hygiene monitoring.
- Attending to customer enquiries, making out quotations, quotations follow-ups and reporting.
- Daily reporting on all work carried out
- Drawing up reports and Calibration certificates for Environmental and Occupational Hygiene monitoring as well as of measuring instruments.
- Participating in the upgrading of equipment register and ensuring that master calibrators and equipment used in monitoring is duly calibrated and fit for purpose.
- Any other duties as assigned by the Senior Consultant.
Requirements
- Engineering Degree or Higher, or National Diploma in Electrical/Instrumentation or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Clean drivers licence.
- Ability to learn fast.
- Scientific background a must.
- Must be able to travel extensively in Zimbabwe and SADC region.
- Work with minimum supervision
- Should be able to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Must be under 30 years of age.
