The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is seeking a highly qualified, experienced, and dynamic Head of Programmes Kenya. The Head of Programme position is to assume overall responsibility for programme development and strategic vision in the country promoting learning and a cost-conscious culture as well as ensure effective and constructive communication between related functions, Partners and Area offices. Key responsibilities include line management for Core Competence Specialists, membership in the Country Management Group (CMG), compliance with NRC policies, providing programme input to Country Strategy and Plan of Action, development of Core Competency strategies, development of holistic and needs-based programmes, identifying funding opportunities, and overseeing Project Cycle Management (PCM). The ideal candidate will ensure strategic programme development in line with regional and global programme initiatives, oversee advances in NRC's Innovation, Protection, Markets and Digital programming, contribute to expanding the use of Cash Based Programmes, and strengthen accountability to beneficiaries. The role offers a 12-month contract, 40% travel, and a salary/benefits package according to NRC's Kenya salary scale. This position is open to qualified Kenyan nationals only.
