Kafkas Limited is a retailer and wholesaler in Kampala, Uganda, offering household appliances (Beko), furniture, and mattresses (Dr. Mattress), often with,50% discounts during promotions.

Job Summary:

As part of our growth journey, we are looking for a hands-on and well-organized Operations Manager to support the effective running of our warehouse, after-sales services, logistics coordination, administrative processes, and showroom operations. This role is critical for ensuring operational discipline, stock accuracy, service quality, cost control, and the smooth support of both existing and new showroom activities.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, product handling, dispatch, and stock control
  • Ensure the warehouse remains clean, orderly, safe, and well-disciplined at all times
  • Oversee after-sales service activities and take responsibility for customer complaints, ensuring timely and effective resolution
  • Supervise logistics clerks and plan their daily delivery and service routes efficiently
  • Manage supply chain-related operational follow-up together with the responsible specialists
  • Lead monthly stock counts and ensure alignment between physical stock and system records
  • Support showroom and warehouse operational needs across the company
  • Manage and archive all official company documents in a proper, organized, and accessible manner
  • Take an active role in the setup of new showrooms and dealer showrooms
  • Coordinate operational activities in line with company standards and local administrative/regulatory requirements related to showroom operations
  • Monitor and control budgets for the operational areas under responsibility, ensuring cost awareness and efficient use of resources
  • Prepare regular reports related to stock, logistics, service issues, operational performance, and budget follow-up

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in operations, warehouse, logistics, or supply chain management
  • Strong experience in warehouse supervision, stock control, team coordination, and operational follow-up
  • Practical knowledge of route planning and daily logistics management
  • Experience in managing after-sales processes and customer complaints
  • Experience in budget follow-up and cost control within operational areas is an advantage
  • Good reporting, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Good command of MS Office, especially Excel
  • Experience with ERP or stock management systems is an advantage
  • Awareness of local regulations and administrative requirements related to showroom setup and operations is an advantage
  • Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate across departments
