Job Description
We are seeking a Business Manager to join our team. This position involves overseeing the mechanisation and equipment financing operations within the agribusiness sector in Ghana, working closely with internal teams, field service providers, and technical partners. The role requires driving revenue growth, ensuring operational efficiency, managing risks, and developing sustainable income opportunities for stakeholders across the agricultural value chain.
Missions:
- Coordinate and supervise mechanisation services including drying, threshing, cleaning, tractor operations, and other mobile agricultural services to optimize productivity.
- Drive annual revenue targets for mechanisation and equipment financing services by developing sustainable and competitive pricing models.
- Collaborate with commercial teams to engage farmer groups and large-scale agricultural clients, fostering strong business relationships.
- Design and implement practical repayment and down-payment structures to facilitate equipment financing, ensuring affordability and risk mitigation.
- Monitor repayments, follow up on overdue payments, and maintain accurate operational and financial records to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Identify, assess, train, and supervise machine and tractor operators to maintain high operational standards and service quality.
- Support the adoption and integration of digital tools and systems to enhance operational monitoring, reporting, and data management.
- Establish and enforce standards related to safety, discipline, and operational reporting to promote a safe and efficient working environment.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with workshops, technicians, and repair partners to ensure timely maintenance and repairs.
- Track repair quality, equipment downtime, and maintenance costs to optimize operational efficiency.
- Support farmer mobilization and service demand creation activities, ensuring fair and effective engagement structures for field representatives.
- Coordinate operator activities and follow up on equipment financing repayments to ensure compliance and financial sustainability.
- Support risk management initiatives and improve the accuracy of operational data through continuous review and process improvement.
- Ensure all operational activities, machine usage, and payment records are properly documented, reconciled, and discrepancies escalated when necessary.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure strict adherence to operational procedures and reporting standards.
- Support the development and enhancement of operational tools and reporting systems for field teams and operators.
- Contribute to operational dashboards covering key metrics such as revenue, utilisation, repairs, and repayments.
- Oversee the onboarding and training of operators and field representatives across multiple operational locations.
- Continuously review and improve operational processes and pricing models to align with market realities and business objectives.
