Job Description
We are looking for a Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is a senior executive responsible for overseeing the development and dissemination of technology for external customers, vendors, and other clients to help improve and increase business. The CTO will direct the company's technological vision, lead all aspects of technology development, and align technology initiatives with business goals to drive growth, efficiency, and competitive advantage.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Technology Strategy**
- Develop and implement the organization's technology vision and strategy
- Align technology roadmap with overall business objectives
- Identify emerging technologies and assess their potential impact
- Lead digital transformation initiatives across the organization
- Advise CEO and Board on technology trends and opportunities
- Drive innovation culture within the organization
**Technology Development & Management**
- Oversee all technology development projects
- Manage software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Ensure technology infrastructure is robust and scalable
- Oversee cybersecurity strategy and implementation
- Manage cloud computing and data center operations
- Ensure business continuity and disaster recovery planning
**Product & Innovation**
- Lead product development and innovation initiatives
- Oversee research and development (R&D) activities
- Drive development of new technology products and services
- Manage intellectual property and technology assets
- Foster partnerships with technology vendors and startups
**Operations & Governance**
- Establish technology policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with technology regulations and standards
- Manage technology budget and expenditure
- Oversee IT procurement and vendor management
- Ensure data privacy and protection compliance (GDPR etc.)
- Monitor and report on technology performance metrics
**Stakeholder Management**
- Present technology strategy to Board of Directors
- Collaborate with all department heads on technology needs
- Manage relationships with technology partners and vendors
- Represent the organization at technology forums and events
- Communicate complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders
**Team Leadership**
- Build and lead a high‑performing technology team
- Recruit, mentor and develop technology talent
- Set performance targets for technology staff
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
- Manage technology department structure and resources
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field
- Master's degree (MBA or MSc Computer Science) strongly preferred
- Relevant technology certifications (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, CISSP) are an advantage
- Minimum 10 years progressive technology experience
- Minimum 5 years in a senior technology leadership role
- Proven track record of successful technology implementations
- Experience in relevant industry is an advantage
