Minimum Requirements:

BSc/BEng/BTech in Electrical Engineering Government Certificate of Competency (MHS Act) (Mines and Works) advantageous Code 08 driver’s license

Duties and Responsibilities:

At least 5 years’ experience in a heavy industry environment including Project Management Excellent managerial, Technical, Interpersonal and People Development Skills are required for this challenging position In depth understanding and knowledge of Quarrying and manufacturing processes The ability to develop a team CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) experience – On Key/SAP Preventative Maintenance Systems on conveyors, crushers, screens, pumps and mills and other secondary production equipment A result driven individual with analytical skills and the ability to provide direction to the maintenance teams responsible for plant maintenance and optimization In-depth knowledge of the MHSA and Environmental requirements as applicable to the Mining and Quarrying industry Management of the maintenance function to ensure professional care of assets (availability and reliability at design capacity) of Plant and Equipment at all times in a sustainable cost effective way Ensure compliance to relevant legal requirement and ensure safe operation of plant and equipment Optimal asset performance within legal requirements and corporate standards, a 24 hour operation Optimal cost and CAPEX planning, execution and control on time Culture and climate of continuous improvement that supports and develops a learning organization Highly motivated maintenance team through performance management, development and training Satisfied internal and external customers Root cause analysis and problem solving Continued improvement and enforcement of Engineering Standards Project Management (Feasibility phase, Implementation Phase, Hand over Phase) 6.1 legal appointee Provide direction to the maintenance teams responsible for plant maintenance and optimization
