Job Advert Summary: To develop engineering graduates through structured on-the-job training, coaching, and exposure to cement manufacturing operations, with a focus on process optimisation, production efficiency, product quality, safety, and environmental compliance. The Graduate Trainee – Process Engineering will support plant performance improvement initiatives across raw milling, cement milling, and dispatch-related process activities.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical engineering, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support process monitoring and optimisation activities across crushing, raw mill, kiln, clinker handling, cement mill, and packing plant operations.
- Collect, analyse, and interpret production and quality data to identify trends, deviations, and improvement opportunities.
- Assist in monitoring key process parameters such as temperature, pressure, flow, kiln performance, fuel efficiency, and product fineness.
- Participate in process troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation to improve plant stability and output.
- Support quality assurance teams in maintaining product consistency and compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
- Assist in preparing process reports, shift summaries, performance dashboards, and technical presentations.
- Participate in continuous improvement, energy efficiency, waste reduction, and environmental performance projects.
- Observe and comply with all health, safety, and environmental requirements in plant operations.
