Position Overview

Join our team at the National University of Science and Technology

The Hospital Administrator will be responsible for the overall management, coordination, and leadership of hospital operations. The role requires a dynamic and experienced professional to ensure efficient service delivery, financial sustainability, compliance with healthcare regulations, and continuous improvement in patient care standards.

Qualifications Required

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Health Services Management, Hospital Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree will be an added advantage)
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in hospital or healthcare management in a senior leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare systems, policies, and regulatory frameworks in Zimbabwe
  • Good leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • High ethical standards and professionalism
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Strong ICT skills, especially in Hospital Management Systems

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction for the hospital’s operations
  • Oversee day-to-day administrative and operational functions
  • Initiate policies, develop standard operating procedures, and systems to improve service delivery
  • Ensure compliance with national health regulations and standards
  • Manage hospital records, budgets and resource allocation
  • Supervise administrative staff and support clinical staff
  • Coordinate training and staff development initiatives
