Crystal Clear Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Medical Representative specializing in Oncology products on behalf of our multinational client. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the promotion, education, and market penetration of a portfolio of oncology therapies across Zimbabwe.

This role requires a strategic thinker with deep therapeutic knowledge in oncology, excellent stakeholder engagement skills, and a proven track record in pharmaceutical sales within highly specialized therapeutic areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • 1. Sales & Market Development
    • Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets for oncology products within the designated territory.
    • Develop and execute strategic territory business plans aligned with company objectives.
    • Identify new business opportunities and expand market share within oncology segments.
  • 2. Scientific Engagement & Product Promotion
    • Deliver high-quality scientific presentations to oncologists, hematologists, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals (HCPs).
    • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of oncology disease areas, treatment protocols, and product data.
    • Provide clinical evidence and product differentiation to support prescribing behavior.
  • 3. Stakeholder Relationship Management
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare institutions, and regulatory stakeholders.
    • Engage with hospital formularies and decision-making committees.
    • Support advisory boards, medical education activities, and conferences.
  • 4. Territory & Account Management
    • Effectively manage key accounts including private hospitals, oncology centers, and government institutions.
    • Monitor competitor activities and provide actionable market intelligence.
    • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities using CRM systems.
  • 5. Compliance & Ethical Conduct
    • Ensure strict adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and ethical promotion standards.
    • Maintain compliance with local regulatory requirements and pharmaceutical codes of conduct.
  • 6. Training & Mentorship
    • Support onboarding and coaching of junior representatives where required.
    • Contribute to internal knowledge-sharing sessions and training programs.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, Life Sciences, Biochemistry, or a related field (required).
  • Postgraduate qualification in Business Administration or Marketing (advantageous).

Professional Experience

  • Minimum 5–8 years of pharmaceutical sales experience, with at least 3–5 years in oncology or specialty care products.
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets in a competitive market.
  • Experience working with multinational pharmaceutical companies preferred.

Technical Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of oncology therapeutic areas, including solid tumors and hematologic malignancies.
  • Familiarity with clinical trial data interpretation and evidence-based medicine.
  • Knowledge of Zimbabwe’s healthcare system, regulatory environment, and market dynamics.
