Position Overview
Qualifications Required
- Degree in Environmental Science, Safety, Health or Environmental Management or equivalent
- Professional certification – OSHEMAC/ NEBOSH/ SAMTRAC (an added advantage)
- At least 2 years’ experience in a Safety Health & Environment role
- Strong reporting and communication skills
- A valid class 4 driver’s license
Skills & Competencies
- Ensure proper use of PPE and safety equipment
- Ensure compliance with local SHE regulations
Key Responsibilities
- Implement Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures
- Conduct workplace inspections and safety audits
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses
- Maintain SHE records and prepare compliance reports
- Conduct safety inductions and training for employees
- Ensure proper use of PPE and safety equipment
- Assist in risk assessments and hazard identification
- Support emergency preparedness and response activities
- Ensure compliance with local SHE regulations
- Any other duties that may be assigned
