Job Description
A waiter or waitress on Caribbean cruises is responsible for delivering exceptional dining service to guests while maintaining the highest hospitality standards at sea.
Key Duties
- Welcoming guests
- Presenting menus
- Taking accurate food and beverage orders
- Serving meals efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Setting and clearing tables
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene according to strict maritime standards
- Ensuring a polished dining atmosphere at all times
They must have strong knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and dietary requirements to assist an international guest base.
Working onboard requires excellent communication, teamwork, and adaptability, as well as the ability to work long hours and interact with guests from diverse cultures. A positive attitude, professional appearance, and commitment to outstanding customer service are essential, along with a willingness to travel and live at sea for extended periods.
